Do you pay attention to college rankings? Do rankings accurately predict the success of a college? Do parents and students rely on them to create a college list?

This week’s #CampusChat guest with be Alex Caffee of Niche.com. On September 28th Niche released its 2016 college rankings, which rank more than 1,100 schools nationwide based on more than 50 statistical factors and millions of student reviews. New for 2016, the company is releasing its first ever Best Value Colleges ranking and incorporating alumni data on earnings, employment, and loan debt from the College Scorecard dataset into its overall Best Colleges in America ranking.

Niche will be discussing how rankings can both aid and mislead students. Join us for a lively discussion about college rankings and how Niche rankings differ from others.
