Packing for a summer campus tour? What’s on your travel checklist?
Don’t forget to bring:
- Sun Glasses
- Water Bottle
Wait! I know what you’re thinking… same as your “take to the beach” list, right? Exactly. Campus tours are usually scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and they last for at least an hour which means you’ll be walking around campus during the heat of the day.
Planning a campus visit either to (which we recommend) or from (you’ll be wanting to just get home!) your family vacation is a great idea. You can add a day to your time off and see some schools you may not have thought about visiting before. And you’ll have supplies already in your car, right?

Come prepared. Protect yourself from the sun with a hat and sunscreen. Stay hydrated and keep as cool as you can, especially once the dog days of summer roll around. Oh, and don’t forget the camera or make room on your phone for “non-vacation” vacation pics. You’ll want it when you run across one of the campus focal points.
