My guest tonight on #CampusChat is Stuart Mease, Director of Undergraduate Career Services Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech. I first met Stuart at an entrepreneurial summit at Radford University and, after just a few minutes of engaging conversation, it was clear that when it comes to jobs and careers, Stuart knows his stuff. As it turns out, he also knows where the jobs are.
During #CampusChat, he'll share this knowledge and offer career planning advice to college-bound teens and college students who are still in the major/career planning stage. Some of the topics we'll discuss tonight on Twitter include:
- What are employers looking for?
- What skills are needed to get those jobs?
- What majors are in high demand?
- What if you're not prepared for "where the jobs are?"
Connect with Stuart on Twitter @stuartmease or via his profile on LinkedIn and join us tonight at 9PM, Eastern for #CampusChat. You must have a Twitter account to participate. Then, simply add "#campuschat" to the tweets you want included in this chat stream.
The search for jobs by the next class of graduates from Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business kicked-off last week with the annual event: the Business Horizons Career Fair. Below is a story that ran on our local CBS affiliate, WDBJ-7.
